The suspension placed on the Akure-based insurance brokers, Prime Investment Insurance Brokers Limited, has been lifted the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has said.

A statement by Assistant Director Corporate Affairs NAICOM, Lucky Fiakpa, said the lifting of the suspension is sequel to the satisfactory conduct of the broker during the period of the suspension and the fact that the company has purged itself of all the infractions that necessitated the suspension of its license.

The company was suspended from doing business as insurance broker with effect from June 14, 2012 following the unprofessional manner with which the firm handled the Ondo State Government property insurance account.

While congratulating the firm for the restoration of its license, the Commission however warned that the company would "henceforth conduct its business in line with good corporate governance and market practices."
