Guinea Insurance Plc (GI) has intensified its commitment
to the promotion of insurance by partnering the Chartered Insurance Institute
of Nigeria (CIIN) on the recently held fitness walk and awareness campaign.
The company hosted the pre-walk reception of the
institute’s members at its new corporate Head-office at Jibowu, where the pre-walk
aerobic exercise and health tips were held shortly before the road show
commenced to the destination point – National Theatre, Iganmu on Saturday, May
17, 2014.
A statement by its Team Lead, Corporate Services, Ufot Hanson, said the CIIN in a letter
signed by the Director-General, Kola Ahmed on behalf of the President/Chairman
of the Council, Mr. Fatai Lawal, Council members and Management staff, the
Institute thanked the Management of Guinea Insurance Plc, noting that, “our bid
to bring innovative idea to this year’s event in partnership with your
ever-progressive company and well-known brand had propelled the need for the
change in venue this year.”
Divisional
Director, Corporate & Legal Services, Guinea Insurance Plc, Isioma Omoshie,
in a speech during the pre-walk exercise, expressed gratitude to participants
for attending this year’s exercise en masse and further reiterated the
company's commitment to continually support the Institute and industry in
general. “Our partnership with the Institute is in sync with the repositioning
programme of the company. We are poised to support all laudable initiatives
that will engender the much needed industry awareness as well as rekindle the
true spirit of sportsmanship that would foster unity in the sector,” she said.
