Insurers shun rain for awareness campaign

Underwriters from different companies, shunned the early morning rain of today to partake in the fitness walk and awareness campaign, organised by the Chartered Insurance Instittute of Nigeria (CIIN).
The exercise which was led by the President CIIN, Dr. Wole Adetimehin, saw the underwriters walked from the National Stadium Surulere Lagos through Ikorodu Road to the premises of Niger insurance Plc in Anthony.

underwriters used the event to distribute their companies handbills and educated the public on the need for insurance.


Adetimehin urged practitioners to always keep fit by engaging on regular exercise, adding that the state of their health has great impact on their productivity.

He called on operators to continue to educate the public on the need for insurance, stressing that insurance remains the hub of the nation.

He lauded the cooperation shown by the operators and canvassed that such attitude should be sustained to keep the industry afloat.

The Institute which is the education arm of the insurance industry, has being on the forefront in awareness campaign, through conducts of Fitness Walk, Miss Insurance Dance which is held yearly to choose the industry's ambassador known as Miss Insurance, seminars and workshops.
