Priority Insurance pays GH¢370,000 in claims

Priority Insurance Company Limited, a fledgling general business insurance company, has paid a total loss claim of GH¢370,000 to Vision 2007, a haulage and passenger transport company.

This compensation was as a result of a fire accident which totally destroyed the Daewoo passenger bus.

The ability of Priority Insurance to promptly pay the claim is heartwarming, considering that the company is in its first year of operations. It also demonstrates the strong reinsurance policy of the company.

The General Manager, Operations, at Priority Insurance, Mr George Addai, who led a three-man team to present the cheque to Vision 2007, said although a young company, it had demonstrated its ability to pay claims promptly and ‘be on the side of the customer’, as its tagline goes.

He said currently the company did all the lines of general business insurance, but beyond those traditional products, it listened to its clients and tailor-made products to suit their unique needs.

Mr Addai said the company, which had already moved into its modern office complex, boasts of some of the best industry hands with experiences averaging 20 years and supported by young, innovative and proactive staff.

The Managing Director of Vision 2007, Mr Isaac Ofori Poku, who received the cheque commended Priority for its promptness in paying claims, in spite of being new on the insurance scene.

"It is fantastic doing business with Priority Insurance. They have not been around for long, but they are doing very well," Mr Poku said.
