Prestige Insurance Brokers wins award

In recognition of its qualitative insurance service delivery, Prestige Insurance Brokers Limited has been named the Insurance Broker of the year 2014.

The award was conferred by BusinessToday, an online Financial Online medium,at the 2014 BusinessToday online award held recently in Lagos.

Prestige Insurance Brokers emerged winner from other shortlisted brokers, having met the criteria of integrity, speed of delivery and corporate social responsibility. The company was awarded alongside NEM Insurance Plc, which won the insurance company of the year;  IBTC Pension of the year, while, Group Managing  Director Mutual Benefits Insurance Group  Akin Ogunbiyi, emerged the insurance man of the year.

In a lecture preceding the presentations, Ogunbiyi speaking on the theme “Insurance Industry and Issues in Pension Management in Nigeria,” urged for greater creativity and ingenuity from insurance practitioners as a way of remaining relevant to the nation’s economy and the insuring public.

Ogunbiyi noted that the focus of insurance operators should be more on assisting in the mitigation of risks and by so doing generating wealth for small and medium sized entrepreneurs as it obtains in some growing economies, particularly in Asia.

Prestige Insurance Brokers Limited was incorporated in 1988 and has remained in the frontline of Insurance broking especially in Nigeria. It is a member of the African Insurance Organization as well as the Brokerslink. It’s Chief Executive; Dr. Feyi Soyewo mfr is also the current chairman of the African Insurance Brokers Association.
