Niger Insurance, committed to human capital development — Uranta

Niger Insurance Plc has reiterated its commitment to human capital development through continuous training.
In a statement on Friday, the company said this was necessary to ensure giving of excellent services to its cherished customers.
The company’s Managing Director, Justus Uranta, said that Niger Insurance was still in tune with its human capital development plan by way of sending key staff to both local and international training fora.
Speaking on the members of the company’s staff who graduated from the West African Insurance Institute in Banjul, The Gambia recently, the Niger Insurance boss assured that the organisation would continue to send its employees to the institute in order to keep enriching their knowledge.
Uranta, while confirming that more than 50 employees had been trained at WAII in the last few years, added that the company’s management had resolved to ensure that some of its employees continued to attend the institute on an annual basis.
He noted that eight employees of Niger Insurance graduated from the institute in July.
The managing director pointed out that the company prioritised human capital development because it appreciated the fact that its human capital was its most valuable asset.
This human capital, he noted required constant training and retraining to be at its best and be able to make meaningful contribution to the growth of the underwriting firm.
In order to remain a profitable organisation delivering exceptional value to its stakeholders, he said the company was constantly looking at its products, operations and meeting the needs of its customers.
Uranta informed that the company’s training school at Anthony Village, Lagos had been given a face-lift in readiness for more enhanced in-house training for its employees.
As efforts are being made by the organisation to develop and deploy electronic platforms and facilities to all its regional and branches nationwide for quick and reliable service delivery, he stated that the human capital would still play a major role.
According to him, the company’s operations are guided by necessary business ethics, even as it is engaging in continuous research and development to improve on service delivery.
He said that in view of the fact that the organisation already ranked among the top three in the nation’s insurance industry, strategies were being put in place to ensure that the company became the market leader within a short period of time.
The firm stated that as a company that was always adhering to rules, it had never been found wanting in the area of claims payment in keeping faith with its promise to pay all genuine claims promptly.
