Edu now WAICA brokers’ forum chairman

The West African Insurance Companies Association (WAICA) has named Rotimi Edu, as Chairman for its Brokers Forum.

A release by the Director Corporate Affairs Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) Tope Adaramola, said Edu was elected at the annual confab of the West African regional body held in Sierra Leone.  

He noted that with the appointment of Edu, who is currently a Governing Board member of the NCRIB, which prides itself as the largest insurance professional body in West Africa, in terms of membership, insurance brokers would be able to synergise their efforts across the West Africa sub region.  

Speaking after his election, Edu disclosed that part of his mandate of office is to ensure that insurance brokers operating in the West Africa sub region collaborate more effectively for business and professional advancement.  

He stressed that the Brokers Forum would work with other professionals in the sub region to accelerate their contributions to global economic development.  

 President of the NCRIB, Laide Osijo, in a congratulatory letter to the chairman, said the election has opened a new vista for insurance brokers within the regional body and served as a mark of confidence reposed in Nigerian Insurance Brokers.   She pledged support for the Chairman and his team.
