NICON Insurance Limited has received the Africa’s Most Reliable Quality Insurance Company of the year 2015 Award at an event organized recently in Lagos by African Quality Institute (AQI) in collaboration with South African Quality Institute (SAQ) and the Chartered Quality Institute in United Kingdom (UK).
The Editor of Quality World Journal, Michael Abugo while announcing NICON Insurance as the Winner of this year’s edition stated that the Award was initiated at celebrating leadership innovation and creativity in quality management in Africa.
Abugo, who was also doubled as the Master of Ceremony at the event revealed that “the award is aimed at identifying, recognizing and rewarding companies, personalities and products that apply quality assurance culture to achieve corporate objectives in both profit and non-profit making organizations in Africa”.
The Organizer in its own statement also revealed that this year’s award was based on the outcome of a technical committee made up of international quality professionals from South Africa and Nigeria including Standard organization officials from Ghana Bureau of Standards (GBS), Uganada Bureau of Standards, Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON), National Standard Bureau Liberia, Africa Organization for Standardization (ARSO) and International Organization of Standardization.
Presenting the award to NICON Insurance Limited, the Managing Director of Sparking Rose Nigeria Limited, Edward Oiku urged the Company to always maintain its quality Standard.
Responding, NICON Insurance’s General Manager (Head Office Annex), Steve Ajudua who represented the Managing Director, Bayode Samuel, has re-energized to serve the public better.
His words; “NICON Insurance has been re-energized to serve the insuring public better, adding that the Company is currently Africa’s leading insurance and financial services power house that has snowballed into a global player with newly minted core values that has translated her into an enduring institution of over forty years”.
“We have upgraded our human capital template to meet the international standard by ensuring that our staff are among the best in the industry, in terms of efficiency and customer’s service prowess”, he added.
According to him, vibrant and highly cerebral professionals are those that oversee the enduring Institution.
