Justus Clinton Uranta, former managing director of Niger Insurance plc who retired about a year ago after spending over 30-years in underwriting and risk management is pitching his tent in tourism.

Uranta is the chairman of the newly established Lekki Miami Beach Resort, a home of comfort located on the beach line area of Lekki in Etiosa Local Government Area.
Uranta partnering with some Nigerians living abroad, said Lekki Miami Beach Resort is an effort to replicate if not equal to what you find in Miami Resort in Florida or Monaco in London, but something similar that provide reasonable level of comfort that Nigerians and foreigners’ in Nigeria will appreciate.

Speaking at the official opening, Uranta stated that having travelled to many parts of the world and seeing how they take advantage of beach lines to create comfort, I and my colleagues decided to go into this area and we are excited it has come to fruition.

With this in place and the kind of infrastructural facilities available, Nigerian’s who do not want to travel abroad for leisure can get the same level of comfort here, relax and enjoy themselves, move to the beach side, make use of tennis court, have mini golf course, have a gym and also reduce cost of oversea trips.

According to Uranta, owners of the resort are positive about the future, and hope to see a time when it would have grown to become the Paris Miami in Nigeria.
Bakare Elegushi, a lawyer who represented the Elegushi of Ikate community said the coming of the resort is a healthy development not just for the communities around, but Nigeria on the whole.
“We are happy about this because it is going to open up other developments and including MTN Village which is among the projects coming up in this area”.
It’s going to create employment and I am happy that our community will benefit from it.
