Five insurance companies are to pay about N21.6 million for
their failure to submit 2013 financial accounts, Inspen can report.
According to the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) the
companies are: Alliance & General insurance; Alliance & General Life
Assurance; NICON Insurance Limited; Spring Life Assurance and Unic Insurance
Plc.
The amount was derived from the stipulated daily fine of N5,
000 for failure to submit accounts after June
30.
