Poland's IT firm Asseco Poland hopes to make further forays into Ethiopia, as the firm has submitted final documents concerning the takeover of a controlling stake in one of the country's most important software firms - United Systems Integrator, the daily Puls Biznesu writes citing Polish ambassador to Ethiopia Jacek Jankowski.
Asseco needs the approval of Ethiopia's Trade Ministry to complete the acquisition. Asseco's Cezary Miksa said. The firm is actively seeking out partners in the IT sector and counting on new clients in the insurance and government sectors, after winning a USD 9.85 million contract for the implementation of a billing system for Ethiopia's Information Network Security Agency, Miksa said.
Elsewhere in Africa, Asseco is also holding meetings with potential clients in Nigeria and Angola.
