Award winning insurance company at the 2014 African Insurance Distribution and Banc assurance Conference, Star Micro Insurance Service Limited, in collaboration with one of Ghana’s finest and quality mineral water company, Sky Fall Natural Mineral Water on Thursday donated 500 bags of water to residents of Odorna.
This is one side of a two-day relief program by the two companies to support victims of the recent flood and fire tragedy that claimed the lives of more than one hundred and fifty people at Circle and other areas including Nima.
Star Micro Insurance Service’s Head of Marketing, Solomon Larbi described the donation as an important one to the two companies because most of the residents and traders at Odorna are clients “so as Ghana is mourning the tragic incident, we also thought that we could console the victims with these bags of water and add aprons for the market women and the traders for their daily market activities, “he said, adding that they will come back with other items.
In an interview with this reporter, recipients expressed gratitude for the donation mainly for the fact that the bags of water will save them some money for buying water.
Kaneshie Market and residents of Nima are expected to also receive 1000 bags of Sky Fall Mineral Water on Friday, 12th June.
