The 2015 Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) Picnic will
hold on Saturday, August 22, Inspen has learnt.
A statement by the institute’s Assistant Director Admin, Norbert
Enuonye, said the event will be declared open by the President/Chairman of
Council, Lady Isioma Chukwuma who was recently invested as the 47th President
of the CIIN.
He noted that the event will hold at Eleko Beach, Lagos-Epe Expressway,
stressing that it will run from 9.00am to 5.00pm and will be attended by all
members of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies as well as Brokers and Loss
Adjusters.
This year’s picnic, according to him, will feature varieties of
activities much like the Brazilian Fantastico as picnickers will display
costumes and dance to blare of music from hundreds of loudspeakers in the beach
sheds, adding that beach games like the five-a-side football and volley ball
competition will be played at the event.
He said the Professional Insurance Ladies Association (PILA) will be
on hand to organize at the Children’s Corner, while Miss Cynthia Okeke, 2015/2016
Miss Insurance will also share some pleasantries and giving out gift packs to
the Children to mark her love for them.
He posited that the environment at the event will be as convivial as
it is expected to be, stressing that adequate security as well as ambulance
services will be provided at the venue.
