Insurance CIOs hold confab in Accra

Nigerian Insurance industry’s Chief Information Officers (CIO) will on November 21-23 at the Ramada Beach Resort Accra, Ghana, gather for their year’s conference, Inspen has leant.

The CIO conference which is an annual event of the Information Technology Committee of the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) provides the platform for information officers to meet innovative vendors and solution providers offering cost-effective and cutting-edge technologies and money-saving strategies for the deployment of information technology in the insurance business.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Achieving Strong and Sustainable Regional Insurance through Collaborations: The Role of Technology”, and will pool together about 50 to 60 senior officers involved in taking decisions regarding information technology investment across 59 insurance companies in Nigeria.

“We desire to use the CIO conference as a veritable tool in strengthening regional collaboration using information collaboration tools,” a letter issued to the B&FT read.

The keynote address will be delivered by the Deputy Chairman NIA, Godwin Wiggle, with a goodwill message from Chief Executive Officer of Metropolitan Insurance Company Limited Kwame Gazo-Agbenyadzie.
