NAICOM boss bags national leadership award

The Commissioner for Insurance and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) Fola DAniel, has bagged national leadership award for his remarkable achievements in sanitizing the insurance industry.

A statement by the commission's spokesman, Rasaaq Salami, noted that the organisers of the award said Daniel got the award due to his roles in ensuring adequate 
Protection of insurance policy holders, upholding good ethics and values, successfully keying into transformation agenda of the Federal Government through various developmental initiatives of the commission since 2011 and the effective and efficient manner NAICOM has been discharging its mandate of regulating and supervising the sector.

The Special Adviser to the President on Ethics and Values, Mrs Sarah Jibril, who stood in for President Goodluck Jonathan, at the presentation of the award, described Daniel as an unassuming, quiet, but accomplished achiever.

Daniel was honoured along side the Governors of Cross Rivers and Anambra States, the Director-General of the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation and the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health.
