NEM Insurance, AIICO Insurance, 18 other firms nominated for Businesstoday Online awards 2014

The Management of Businesstoday Online a leading source of business information in Africa has said that NEM Insurance, AIICO Insurance and 19 other firms in the insurance and Pension industry have been named as nominees for the Businesstoday Online awards 2014 scheduled to hold in May, 2015.

The company disclosed this through a statement signed by its Managing/CEO, Nkechi Naeche, that the yearly award which is in eight categories exceptional for Insurance and pension operators and individual who have exceeded in their field in 2104.

She said that the nominees for the Businesstoday Online Insurance Company of the year category are: AIICO Insurance Plc, NEM Insurance plc, Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc, Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc, Custodian And Allied Insurance and Industrial And General Insurance (IGI).

Those for Insurance Man of the year are: Managing Director/CEO, Goldlink Insurance Plc, Mr. Gbolahan Olutayo; Group Managing Director, Mutual Benefits Insurance Group; Mr. Akin Ogunbiyi, Managing Director/CEO, NEM Insurance Plc Mr. Tope Smart and AIICO Insurance Plc, Mr. Edwin Igbiti.

Insurance Companies for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award are: Anchor Insurance Plc; Industrial and General Insurance (IGI), Guinea Insurance Plc and Royal Exchange Insurance Plc.

The statement further said that Mutual Benefits Insurance; Mansard Insurance Plc; FBN Life Insurance and Leadway Insurance have been nominated for Micro Insurance Company of the year.

Firms nominated for Insurance Broking Company of the year category are: Scib Insurance Brokers; Prestige Insurance Brokers and Alpha Choice Insurance Brokers.
Firms nominated for Pension Company of the year category are: Premium Pension; Stanbic IBTC Managers, AIICO Pension Managers and FUG Pension Managers.  

Those for Pension Man of the year are: Director General, Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC), Mr. Rotimi Adekunle Hussain; Managing Director Premium Pension Limited, Mr. Wilson Ideva and Managing Director Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited, Mr. Demola Sogunle.

While States nominated for Most Pensions Compliant State category are: Delta State; Imo State; Edo State and Lagos State.

She also said that award of recognition will also be presented to individuals who have contributed to the growth of insurance and pension industry.

The statement further said that voting is on-going and is opportunity for firms, their clients, associates and individuals to vote for who they feel is the most deserving in the 2014 Businesstoday Online awards.

She said vote can be cast through mail to info@businesstodayng.com and deadline for entries is 30th April 2015.
