BENIN CITY- Secretary to Edo State Government, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere has stressed on the need to enlighten Nigerians on the importance of Insurance.
Prof. Ihonvbere was speaking yesterday in Government House when he received a delegation of Nigeria Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) who were in his office on a country visa.
The SSG who remarked that the issues raised were accurate, apt and timely noted that insurance as it is today, even in emerging economies has taken a new turn with advent of computerization.
He urged NCRIB to tailor their services to fit the need of clients taking into consideration their high standard, just as he advised them to join hands with civil society organization, government and schools to carry out more public enlightenment.
President of the Nigeria Council of Insurance Brokers, Mr. Ayodepo Shoderu said their visit was to inform the state government of their Professional Retreat scheduled to hold here in Edo State beginning today and commended Governor Adams Oshiomhole’s administration for maximizing government’s expenditure and bringing monumental change to the state.
According to him, the Retreat meant for over 50 Insurance Companies to serve as a forum
