Chukwuma incoming CIIN president unveils 10 point agenda

 Determined to take the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) and the insurance industry to lofty heights, the incoming President of the Institute, Lady Isioma Chukwuma, has said she plans to achieve 10 key targets during her tenure.

The Chairman of the Investiture Committee, Fatai Lawal, at a press conference today in Lagos, unveiled  the agenda set by the incoming president, stressing that  Lady Chukwuma  will be installed as the 47th President of the CIIN on August 11, 2015.

The targets according to Lawal include: Situating he CIIN on the global stage; upscaling collaboration with CII, UK; promoting insurance awareness by increasing the visibility of insurance through publications in the print medium; follow up on the recognition of CIIN certificate by the Head of Service of the federation; renewed pursuit of training of insurance teachers on a national level.

Others are: Work on achieving wider coverage in the presentation/distribution of the institute’s sponsored insurance textbook for senior secondary schools; completion of institute’s exams syllabus review; commencement of work in the institute’s Victoria Island property;  pursuit extending the institute’s professional to counties in West Africa, East and Central African sub-region and promote members ‘ benefits.

Lawal noted that the investiture will be chaired by the Chairman of Elizade Motors and Custodian and Allied Insurance Plc, Ade Ojo, stressing that the Primate of the Anglican Communion Nicholas Okoh and other distinguished personalities will grace the event.
