The Chairman Elizade Motors Nigeria Limited, Michael Ade Ojo, says he got the money to start his business empire from insurance business.
He disclosed this at an event organised by the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) in Lagos, stressing that insurance remains one of the best means for business survival.
Ade Ojo who is also the Chairman, Custodian and Allied Group, noted that while in his former employment, he ventured into insurance sales which helped him accumulated enormous funds which he used to set up his business.
The entrepreneur whose businesses today cut across education, insurance, vehicle dealership and more, said he joined insurance business in 1965, noting that insurance played wonderful roles in his life
"Insurance has played a very wonderful role in my life. The seed for my business was made from insurance. I want to thank the industry for what it has done for me and also appreciate the operators for keeping this industry that is essential for the survival of other businesses," he said.
He noted that insurance remains the bedrock for finance, stressing that a part from the protection it offers to various institutions, it acts as a resource to other businesses.
