As preparations reach top gear for the NBCC Centenary Golf Classics, the organized private sector is confirming its support with sponsorship sign ups. Fidelity Bank Plc and Staco Insurance Plc are the leading sponsors for this maiden event which will take place at the Ikeja Golf Club (1968) on November 28-29, according to a release signed by Olusola J. Lawson Jnr. CEO, IGolfMDC Ltd, the Tournament Managers of the NBCC Golf Classics.
Light Level Ltd signed up as Co-Sponsor. Eighteen team sponsors, including Airflow Engineering, Strasscorp Ltd, Nahco Free Zone, Bentley Energy and Jungle Film works have sent in their team registration forms in preparation for what could prove to be a keenly contested golf extravaganza.
"IGolfMDC Ltd, as tournament managers desire to raise the bar in golf tournament organization in Nigeria. We provide an admixture of sporting excellence, business networking and convivial fun for all participating companies because the primary objective of our principal, the Nigerian British Chamber of Commerce is to promote business. We believe in the mantra that "Golf is the Sport of Business" and are doing all that's possible to showcase this. Other companies who have registered their teams are: Meristem Ltd, Consolidated Hallmark Insurance and IWorld Financial Services Ltd," Lawson said.
The NBCC Centenary Golf Classics to celebrate Nigeria's Centenary anniversary. The tournament will feature 30 teams of 4 players each, playing the Stableford format over 18holes. It is expected that the teams will consist of Men, Ladies and Veterans.
