CIIN donates computers to schools, adopts Junior secondary

The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) today donated sets of computer gadgets to three higher institutions - Lagos State Polytechnic, Redeemers University and Federal Polytechnic Offa.

Federal Polytechnic Offa got eight of the computer sets, Lagos State Polytechnic got five and Redeemers University received three.

Its President Fatai Lawal, at the presentation of the computer sets in Lagos, said the institute embarked on the project to aid insurance development in schools, stressing that the schools were chosen because they have been accredited by the institute.

He noted that the institute as part of imparting insurance knowledge on younger generation has adopted Herbert Macaulay Junior Secondary School in Ebute-Meta Lagos, adding that the institute will give the school one personal Computer, one photocopier, a projector and a printer.

He called on the schools to ensure good use of the gadgets, adding that the institute will reach out to more schools in the future.

Head of Department Insurance, Federal Polytechnic Offa, Raji Sarafa, on behalf of other beneficiaries thanked the institute for the gesture and promised to make best use of the gadgets.
