JLT reshuffles senior management

Martin Hiller to lead group’s MGA activities and Thistle Insurance Services.

 

Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT) has announced a string of senior management changes following on from both the merger of JLT Specialty and Lloyd & Partners and expansion of its US offering.

Mark Drummond Brady has been appointed deputy group CEO with immediate effect.

He will sit on the executive committee of JLT's new US specialty operation and the board of the merged JLT Specialty / Lloyd & Partners business.

Thistle
Following the merger, Martin Hiller has been made CEO of the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) division and assumes responsibility for JTL's MGA businesses and Thistle Insurance Services.

Meanwhile, Mike Reynolds has become global CEO of JLT Towers Re with immediate effect.

He retains his position as group finance director and as a Plc board director until the appointment of his successor.

Ross Howard has stayed as chairman and Alistair Lockhart-Smith will continue in his role as deputy chairman of the global business.

Alastair Speare-Cole is to leave JLT and has handed over responsibilities to Reynolds with immediate effect but will stay on to manage the transition to the end of the year.

Dominic Burke, JLT Group CEO said: "Mark stepped in as interim group CEO during my recent brief absence and did an excellent job.

"His appointment as deputy group CEO will enable me to focus more of my time on delivering the group's important strategic initiatives."

He added: "Martin [Hiller] has completed nine successful years as CEO of JLT Specialty.

"His appointment reflects the strong potential that we see in our EMEA, MGA and Thistle UK businesses and my confidence in Martin's ability to build out their platforms and drive their growth."
