The 25 insurance firms which 2013 financial accounts have been approved by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) made N186.3 billion Gross Premium Income (GPI), Inspen has learnt.
A
circular issued by NAICOM indicated that Custodian Life Assurance Limited posted GPI of N2,509,246,000.00; Custodian
& Allied Insurance, N20,453,295,000.00; Mansard Insurance Plc, N13,579,752,000.00;
FBN Life Assurance Limited, N3,898,947,000.00; ADIC (NSIA) Insurance Limited, N4,664,954,000.00;
Cornerstone Insurance Plc, N5,313,223,000.00; Zenith Insurance Company Limited,
N6,492,142,000.00; Zenith Life Insurance Company Ltd, N1,522,731,000.00 and Wapic
Life Assurance Limited, N655,869,000.00.

Life) Nig. Life Assurance Limited; Anchor Insurance; KBL (PHB) Insurance Limited;
Fin Insurance Company Limited; Old Mutual (Oceanic) Insurance General Limited.
Others are Unitrust Insurance Company Limited; Nigeria
Reinsurance Corporation; ARM (Crystal) Life Insurance; Universal Insurance
Company Limited; Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation.
The commission said it is reviewing the accounts
submitted by Mutual Benefit Assurance Plc, Mutual Benefits Life Assurance Limited;
Consolidated Hallmark Insurance; Staco Insurance Plc; Standard Alliance
Insurance Plc and Union Assurance Company Limited.
Companies that are yet to submit their accounts include, African
